Read more...When you reach Cochin, through Cochin’s Railway Station or Airport, you will be picked up by our representative and taken to Munnar. Your path goes through the vast stretches of tea plantations, frothy waterfalls with a cool breeze, and colonial bungalows.
On the way to Munnar, you can visit the spice plantations, and also marvel at the beauty of the waterfalls – Valara and Cheeyappara.
After you reach Munnar, check into the hotel and take rest for a while. After that, it is up to you whether you want relax in your room or take a look at the surrounding area and local markets.
In the evening, return to the hotel for overnight stay
After a hearty breakfast, get ready to start your sightseeing of Munnar.
Visit the Eravikulam National Park – a place you have to visit for sure. The lush green hills of the park are the home to ‘Nilgiri Tahr’, an endangered mountain goat species. The park can be enjoyed by getting a ride on the park bus, and get enchanted by the beauty around you.
Afterwards, you can visit the Tea Museum by Tata Tea (Mondays Closed), where you can learn about the tea processing and also get to taste unique blends of tea.
After the tea museum visit is done, you can head towards the Rose Garden, Elephant Arrival Point, Photo Point, Echo Point, and Mattupetty Dam.
Afterwards, head back to your hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
After a delicious breakfast, check-out from your hotel and head towards Kochi Airport/Train Station/ Bus Stand for your journey back home.
